Volkswagen is doing everything in their power to heighten consumers' anticipation for the forthcoming Volkswagen Beetle. Starting last fall, the German automaker teased and gave away The People's Car on Oprah. They then aired a clever Super Bowl ad, stirring even more interest.
What's next, you ask. An unveiling at the Shanghai auto show? Well, yes. But, showcasing new cars at auto shows has been done to death. So as a grand finale, Volkswagen will debut the new 2012 Beetle on April 18th in a world tour covered by MTV. And, in the U.S. the event…
