Volkswagen Reintroduces Performance-Driven Jetta

Volkswagen is adding an even more enticing performance-driven model, to their successful Jetta lineup.  Officially dubbed the 2012 Volkswagen Jetta GLI, the car was recently unveiled at the Chicago auto show.

The peppy package is equipped with a 200-horsepower (hp) four-cylinder engine and gets 31 mpg-highway when fitted with the manual transmission (32 mpg-highway when fitted with the DSG). This bears a strong resemblance to the last iteration of the GLI, which debuted back in 2009. But, the similarities end there.

Volkswagen Touareg Hybrid

The VW Touareg Hybrid promises to give buyers V8 power with V6 fuel economy. Boosting Touareg's Hybrid's efficiency is its Start/Stop tech: which shuts off the engine completely when you take your foot off the gas, at speeds up to 99 mph. This is a great feature for the roads of Boston.

The Hybrid Touareg is rated at 20 miles per gallon in the city and 24 mpg on the highway. All three Touaregs (base, Sport and Hybrid) are rated at an impressive 7,700 pounds of towing, regardless of engine choice.
