Volkswagen Eos Facelift

Volkswagen has plans for a facelift on the all new and soon to be released 2011 Eos, and it is becoming a reality. The favorite little hatchback has been a best-selling vehicle in its class for the German auto maker for the past several years.

The styling with this new Eos convertible features: redesigned bumpers, modified headlights, a revised grille, and LED taillights. Inside, the cabin boasts a new multi-function display and optional 'Cool' leather seats which reflect sunlight and heat. Tech gadgets include Light Assist (which automatically switches between high and low beams), Park Assist, and Keyless Access.

Volkswagen Expands Engine Plant South of the Boarder

Volkswagen is expanding their factory chain throughout the world. A major US assembly line, in Chattanooga Tenn, is producing thousands of cars per day, and is about to receive some help south of the border.

Mexico will be the new home of a Volkswagen engine factory. This plant will supply engines to its expanding North American production network.

The $550 million engine plant will be built on an industrial site in Silao, in the state of Guanajuato in central Mexico. This plant is scheduled for a 2013 completion. VW said the plant will have "a capacity to build 330,000…
